Programs & Meetings

Meetings

The Guild meets monthly, alternating Tuesdays and Saturdays at the Church of Our Savior, 4227 Columbia Road.

Programs

Fun, educational and social, the Artists' Guild hosts programs on the business of art, learning new media & techniques, exchanging creative ideas and just enjoying the company of other artists.  Here's what we featured in 2013:

Chinese watercolor demo by Wenqing Cao
Working in plaster by Emily Shipe
Watercolor demo by Carol Kelly Dorn
Soapstone carving demo by Herman Kunis
Photographing Your Art by Dwain Shaw

Judy Maxwell - Fiber Art

It was standing room only at the Guild's very cool meeting at Judy Maxwell's Twisted Fence Ranch Alpaca. Judy and her husband Michael presented a workshop on wet & dry needle felting and let us meet their six very beautiful and gentle alpacas.  (Thanks to Margaret Hunt for the pics!)

Gustavo Franco - Metal Art

We met at Gus Franco's to see his amazing metal sculptures.  You may recognize the dragon as you drive down Washington Road.
