Ruth earned her degree in Fine Art and Design in Portsmouth, England where her main concentration was printmaking. Mostly working with silk screening provided the opportunity for color experimentation. Since then she has utilized her art in many ways - as the art teacher at a private elementary school in Kenya, designing and painting theatre sets in South Africa, teaching Montessori kindergarten children in Ohio. Her move to the CSRA in 2002 prompted a return to her roots by taking a variety of art classes. There are some wonderful teachers in the area!
