Michael Morkve is a local artist, originally from South Dakota.  He received his Bachelor degree in History with a Minor in Fine Art from Augusta State University. He has had shows at Sky City and Tire City Pottery.  Michael volunteers at the Morris Museum of Art at events and in the library. Has been married for 19 years and has two children. He is currently employed at a local arts and crafts store as a department manger and a framer. Michael’s preferred medium is watercolor and ink on paper.  He also paints on a variety of objects (canvas, papier mache, found objects) with a variety of mediums (oil, acrylic, tempera).
