I've always been interested in the arts, but didn't start taking formal classes until 2005. I studied acrylic on wood and fabric from 2005 to 2007 in Korea. When we left Korea, I had to take a break in my classes because of my husband's military career. I started taking classes again after my husband retired from the Army and we moved to Evans, GA. I studied for a few months in late 2009, focusing on oils. In early 2010, I began studying with David Mascaro, again focusing on oils. I also took a few watercolor classes along the way, and continue studying at home.
I enjoy different styles of painting, and enjoy challenging myself with difficult subjects.
In addition to painting, I studied Korean paper art, flower arranging, and the art of the tea ceremony while in Korea. I've also dabbled in Chinese calligraphy.
