Tricia Bourne Mayers, a native of Greenwood, South Carolina, graduated from the University of South Carolina in 1981 with a degree in Journalism. She has worked for several magazines, including Macon Magazine and Augusta Magazine, and was the former editor of Coast Magazine in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

As a child, Tricia took lessons from Greenwood artist Ruth Martin, inspiring a lifelong love of art. After years devoted to career and then family, she returned to painting by taking several classes under local artists Dick Dunlap and Bea Kuhlke. Although she has dabbled in watercolors and oils, Tricia has focused on acrylics as her preferred medium.

Tricia and her husband, Chuck, reside in Augusta and have two children.
