Wet Paint Party 2012

Tuesday, 03 January 2012 00:00 Print E-mail

The Greater Augusta Arts Council is pleased to announce that the Wet Paint Party is scheduled for May 19th 2012 from 7pm-10pm at the Old Government House.

We hope that you will choose to participate in this one of a kind event. We ask our member artists to submit a recent work, set the selling price ($250 or less), and allow the Greater Augusta Arts Council to advertise, plan and execute the party. The unique format of this event guarantees that the artist will receive the full selling price of his/her work (if it sells), while any dollar amount above the set price goes to benefit the Arts Council. We'll need you to bring us the artwork on May 19th and attend the event that evening. In the past we have had over 30 artists participate. We accept and encourage a variety of mediums from paintings to jewelry to pottery.

We do not jury the artwork, so send in the application as soon as possible with the assurance that you will be included in the show (30 artists maximum). The Wet Paint Party is free for GAAC and Contemporaries members ensuring a good crowed ready to purchase your work.

Please read the enclosed call for artists and return the application quickly. You must be a member of the Greater Augusta Arts Council to participate and to reserve your spot. I have attached the membership application for those who need to renew or join.
